Inheriting the history of Chinese overseas:the Mid-autumn Festival Celebration in UK

24th Sep, 2018 – The Chinese Cultural Institute in the UK held a Mid-Autumn Festival Charity Dinner Party for the elderly in London’s Chinatown. The dinner party’s theme was ‘Care for the elderly’. Several guests, some in their 90s, celebrated the festival together. The UK Portsmouth Art Group and Yu Qinghai (a National Singer of China), and other artists gave splendid performances. The beautiful musical performance and poetry recitation of students from the London Mandarin School received a big round of applause. The Chinese ambassador in the UK, Tong Xuejun, and other representatives who were present, expressed their good wishes for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
